Publisher review:
CNU5 is a fully featured news manager product. CNU5 is a fully featured news manager product.Main Features:General : Managing your news couldn't be simpler... You type onto a webform and fill in the news article's title, author and email address (if you so desire) and article text. Editing items is just as easy - select the item and make changes on the online form that you want. Deleting is also simple - tick the boxes on a webform.Categories : With CNU5 you can add as many categories of news as you want... Call them what you want and specify a specific separate logo image for that category if you wish. The logo image can be uploaded easily from the webpage in the CNU5 admin area. You can edit or delete categories at any later date. You can display all news, or display news by category.CNU5 news is fully seachable... Users can search by category and their search will bring up all results matching from news articles' titles, authors and text of news items and display the results in pages of 10. Essentially CNU5 lets you create a simple searchable database of content on your website.Dates : When adding news you can specify the release and expiry dates... Set a release date in the future and the news items will not be released until that date. Imagine it - you put in a few items for future release and come the day - your website updates itself without you having to do anything. You can also postdate items into the past. But also - keep your site up to date by setting expiry dates - come that date, the specified news item will be automatically deleted from the system.Image uploading : The built in image upload system has to be seen to be believed... This has been totally revamped for CNU5 and we think you will be impressed. You can with the click of a button use images for an article that you have already uploaded before. You can upload a new image for your article through the built-in uploader on the add news page. You can give the image a caption/credit, a border if desired and decide on its alignment. At a later date, you can come back and edit the item easily to either remove or change the image. It couldn't be easier!Archive : So you want to keep your news tidy, bring on the archives... You have choices: You can use no archive and only the most recent posts will be displayed. Or you can use what we call the simple archive where the first x posts (you specify how many) are displayed and then the archive link lets you page through the previous posts in pages of 10 articles at a time. Or you can have the monthly archive where your news page will show all posts from the current month and then the archive pages back through the posts from previous months going back one month at a time.Related news : Professional news sites often feature links to related news, so could you... CNU5 has a great new feature with related news. When you are adding a new article, there is a list of all previous news items you have added and by clicking on as many as you want, these can be designated as related news articles. At the bottom of your new article, there will be links to these 'related items'.Read statistics : How many users are reading your articles... CNU5 can keep a count of how many times each article has been read so you can see what sort of traffic and interest you are getting. You can choose to display the read total with each article or you can simply choose to have it viewable by yourself in the admin area.WYSIWYG editor : What you see is what you get... You can choose to make use of a great WYSIWYG editor for the text of your news items whereby you can format the font, size, color etc. of your text. It's just like using a word processor and it converts it all to HTML for you. You can insert weblinks into your article using the editor's built in feature.
